Hi. I posted this seeking new people to help me beat loneliness. I’m looking for friends but am open to more. I have gone through several absolutely devastating losses and finding the strength to face each day is a challenge. Everyone around keeps telling me to keep it together, be strong, when what all I want to do us fall apart. I guess I’m good at being broken.
For almost twenty years I trained companion, emotional support, therapy, and service dogs for disabled veterans, first responders, and Gold Star families who need mobility assistance or PTSD mitigation. Currently I’m an OCA III, basically a CAN, in the Colorado DOC’s only Dementia/Neurocognitive and Neurodegenerative Unit. It’s physically and emotionally tough, but equally rewarding knowing you’re making a difference.
To decompress, I’m active in CrossFit, Yoga and weight lifting – I’m in better shape than most half my age. I’m also fluent in ASL, and semi fluent in Spanish, Italian and French.
I’m loyal, a good listener, non-judgmental and a good friend. My two closest friends and I have known each other since high school! I’m looking to meet people between the ages of 35-50, but will answer all.
I love jelly beans, lasagna, hazelnut coffee and so much more. I also love dogs of all breeds, my faith, and tattoos – of which I have several. I’m hooked on 80’s music, country, and sappy rom-coms.
I’ve been married twice and am in Colorado from Kentucky because my then-wife moved here. We split shorty after. I’m not a Colorado sentenced inmate, I’m not on the inmate locator.
