Hello! My name is Ray, I’m 52 years young, and I find myself excited about life and all the adventures it brings. I’m a competitive chef and a passionate musician, and I truly believe that cooking, music, and art serve as therapy for the soul — a beautiful symphony of life, if you will. Having grown up all over the world due to my father’s career in the Air Force, I’ve been exposed to a tapestry of cultures and experiences that have shaped who I am today. This journey opened my eyes to the beauty of diversity and the richness of global traditions. After following in my father’s footsteps, I became a Marine, which further instilled in me a sense of discipline, camaraderie, and a love for adventure.
Now, though I’ve explored many corners of the globe, I call South Carolina home. The warm Southern hospitality and rich culinary heritage inspires my cooking. I love experimenting with local ingredients and redefining classic recipes, all while infusing them with flavors I’ve encountered in my travels.
When I’m not in the kitchen, you can find me jamming on my guitar or writing songs that express the myriad emotions that come with being alive. Music and cooking are intertwining for me — they both have a unique way of bringing people together and creating lasting memories.
