Hello, my name is Thereasa Smith. I am a 56 years old Black female. I have 4 adult kids and 16 grandchildren that I would love to get home to. I am in the Arkansas Department of Corrections at the McPherson Unit Women’s Prison in Newport, Arkansas, for a 2nd Degree Battery Charges and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. My record can be viewed at Arkansas doc.adc.gov, or go to AccessCorrections.com that can also be used to email me.
I need your support, and support letters. The Parole Board has adopted a policy of denying parole repeatedly, based exclusively on violent offenders original offense, with no consideration to merit release on good behavior. I was in an abusive marriage at the time of my offense, and Arkansas had no self-defense laws. We are both survivors and legally divorced.
I’ve been incarcerated since June 18, 2020, which is not a very long time but this offense puts me under the “3-strikes-law” which can cause me to be held over my T.E. date up to 5 years extended. I made a mistake, I’ve done my time. With your support letters my debt to society is paid, I have earned my respect for freedom. I have chronic medical conditions and currently in rehabilitation for my past drug addictions. I am ready to live my newfound spiritual life drug-free, and in search of new companionship, friendship, and pen pals.
Please send your parole support letters today! Email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
My ADC# is 717744 – Thereasa Smith, McPherson Unit Prison (my son – Grimes Unit – Dion Horton ADC# 176087.)
