I know what you’re thinking … “Wow that’s a lot of time” or “ “Naw I can’t do that, he ain’t coming home no time soon”, when in all actuality that’s not even the case. The majority of us ‘long-timers’ won’t even have to serve these sentences, we win appeals, get convictions overturned, sentences reduced, anything can happen. I won my post-conviction petition and I’m already back in court. What, you want me to lie to you like some other inmates? Try to finesse you out of some money? Try to get what I can from you? Nahh, that’s not me. I live by the ideology of – if you have to lie to a person for them to accept you as you, then that’s not the type of person you need in your corner. I need strong, loyal individuals in my corner, who won’t judge me over how the system was set up to see me fail, who will look at me as more than a prison sentence, and understand the difference between a real individual and an imposter. I don’t lie to people. I’m cut from a different cloth, but I understand not everybody has been through what I’ve been through that humbled me into looking at life differently. It’s life changing, believe me.
So if you’re just like the last few individuals who scrolled past my profile because of the amount of time the judge gave me, then God bless you, I hope you find what you’re looking for elsewhere. Now if you’re a person who has been through some things, tired of being let down, misused, and yearn to finally interact with a honest, genuine, and real individual, then the rest of my introduction is for you.
Everything about my profile is honest because I don’t want you to think it is ever okay for someone to lie to you. I want someone to express myself with, build with, and start a strong foundation. I just don’t want to be judged by my past actions, and hopefully you are that person, a loyal person. As for me, I’m a gentle soul. I enjoy intellectual banter, powerful conversations, and deep thinking. I write poetry, play several different instruments, draw artwork, study astrology, and also speak French. I invested in myself and became a jailhouse lawyer to better help those around me to overcome their struggles as well. I turn every negative into a positive, that’s why you see me smile in my picture.
Everything happens for a reason, I guess that’s why you’re looking at my profile right now. Even if you decide not to contact me, even if you just took a second to read my profile and made you feel a little better about whatever it is you’re going through, then that’s enough for me. I would like for you to contact me, to tell me your dreams and goals so we can reach them together, and just in case you fail I’ll have my arms out to catch you. Also tell me your flaws so I can share mine as well, and tell me your fears so I can protect you from them. Contact me is you like to dream often, laugh more, and cry less.
It was with utmost love, honor, and respect that I was able to humbly submit these writings to you. Take care
