Hi ! My name is Naveed Haq. I have been incarcerated for 12 years for a big mental health breakdown. I committed a shooting in Seattle in 2006. Because of this shooting there is a lot of misinformation about me . So let me tell you a little bit about who I am today and how I ‘m making mends.
Mental Health Recovery:
I have spent the last 12 years recovering from my mental health condition. I completed 11 mental health classes and reduced my medications by over 60%.
I am a Muslim incarcerated for a hate crime. So I spent my first 10 years of incarceration learning comparative religion.
Social Recovery :
I repaired relationships with my family and had to make a whole new group of friends, not only in prison but in the community as well . I hope someday to have a relationship again.
Education and Current Interests :
Before I was arrested I achieved Science and Engineering degrees. Since incarceration I have achieved Paralegal certificate and am nearly complete with a Computer Aided Design certificate. Other notable achievements are Competent Communicator and Competent Leader in Toastmasters as well as Nonviolent Communication certificates. I am currently working on a writing career and political activism .
What am I looking for?:
I prefer meeting and corresponding with educated individuals. I can be reached at www.jpay.com or by postal mail .
