My name is Miguel and I’m from Southern California. I have been incarcerated for 13 years. God willing that will be coming to an end soon and I can begin my new life in society.
A little about myself; I’m open-minded, caring, determined, down-to-earth, and resilient. I listen to different genres of music, but mainly R&B, Hip Hop and Rock. I stay balanced through exercise, meditation, prayer, and positive conversations. I recently got my Associate’s Degree and I’m currently training to become a Certifies Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I once thought that prison would be my fate, but I realize that it will be what I choose to make of it. I’ve chosen to allow this experience to transform me into a better person all around, not allowing my past to define me.
