My name is John Picotte. I’m a 46-year-old Native American, half Paiute half Yankton Sioux. I’m a proud member of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe. I am looking for a solid friendship to help pass the time. I am not into playing games or trying to hustle people. I am the Native American religious Pipe Holder; I lead the Sacred Pipe at Inipi (sweat lodge ceremonies). I’ve dedicated my life to the Inipi and the Sacred Pipe, so I try to live a positive lifestyle. I don’t judge or preach to people, I believe we all live our lives the way we want and it’s no one’s business how we choose to live.
I’m busy learning native songs and try to learn both Paiute and Sioux languages. I do my best every day to be a better me than the day before. I was raised on the reservation and I love everything about reservation life, good or bad. It’s a part of me now and I am thankful to my elders that paved the way for me.
I’ve been incarcerated since November 1996 on charges of kidnapping in the first degree and battery with a deadly weapon. My sentence is two lives without the possibility of parole and a two to ten years. This journey has been a long road but life seems to have changed for the best. I enjoy reading about Native culture. My music preference includes Classic Country, Classic Rock, Oldies, Metal, Old School Rap, and all Native music.
Please look me up on NDOC website to verify my time and charges. I can receive emails on CorrLinks.com or the CorrLinks mobile app, but I cannot respond. I can only write letters so I will need your address or a phone # to call.
I hope to hear from you soon. Have a good day.
Sincerely,
John Picotte
