Too often does the world hold misplaced values in material possessions., not understanding that what is gained can be lost, and then gained again. I stand firm in my belief of placing time above all, finding the priceless moments shared in good company, for when one is deprived of physical freedom it is not the jewelry or cars, nor is it the parties or penthouse suits that one longs for, it is the intimacy of time spent in the arms of a lover.
I’ve spent many years in reflection wishing I was able to turn back time, yet instead of dwelling in regret I chose/choose to make the most of what I have left. Though confined I have much to offer. I have my heart, my kindness, my laughter, my mind, my ears, and most valued – my time.
I am a man driven by loss, encouraged and guided by faith. I may not always know why roads cross or roads entwine, yet my belief is that everything happens for a reason and that some things and some people may only be meant for a moment or in some cases a lifetime. I will forever embrace that unknown giving the best of me, taking what’s offered and giving what’s asked, learning what’s taught and teaching what’s needed.
I extend my hand in friendship looking forward to this new journey. Until then smile more, love more.
