Honesty is an essential quality to live by. Without honesty we would never be able to fully understand each other.
Throughout my life, I have overcame negative experiences and did not let them define me. I’ve dedicated myself to learning from my mistakes and trying to find new ways to improve my life. Unfortunately, I am serving a 15 years to life sentence and will be eligible for parole in 2025. My sentence is pending appeal, and if successful I will be home much sooner.
Although my freedom is gone, I have taken advantage of my sentence and turned it into something positive. I spend my time developing my literacy and have gained a vast reservoir of knowledge. Currently I am pursuing a culinary degree. I enjoy reading books pertaining to interpersonal communication. I believe at the heart of mankind existence is the desire to communicate.
I wish society would not be so judgmental. Not everyone in prison is a bad person; sometimes good people end up making bad choices. That is why I strive to be a better person and to continue to learn from the choices I have made. I am simplistic, compassionate and independent. I exercise and perform yoga meditations daily. I love all genres of music.
I would love to become friends with new people and learn of their experiences. I welcome people from all walks of life. I am not judgmental; I believe everyone is unique in their own way and have something special to share.
