The Need To Be

To fulfill the "need to be" who we are in this world is all any one of us could ever ask, I believe. I mean, we can't pretend to be something that we are not, and I won't wear a mask because I have a need to be true to myself, if nobody else...

I have this need to be more than just a reflection of a man, and to do so I can't lean too hard on someone else either! I also can't survive in someone else's shadow, I need my own little spot to stand in.

Now I'm not foolish enough to believe I'm the master of my own faith, but it's up to me to choose my roads in life, and rocky as they may have been so far I truly over-stand now!

You know what I've come to understand though?... living takes a lifetime, and I'm hoping you'll want to take some time out of your life for little ole me to see how I'm living now... Will you? I'll leave the light on for you.
