Hello there, my name is Rudy Gonzalez, and I'm a 35 year old Cuban American, born in "Tinseltown" Hollywood, California. My parents came from Cuba in the 1960's, and I grew up on both coasts of the U.S. I was brought up as a good American boy, the average shy kid raised in the projects of the sunny Florida Keys. I've always loved to read, study, and write, and was a three-sport star in school.
When I turned 18 though, I ran into trouble. I've spent the last 18 years attempting to piece together and rebuild my broken life, and make amends. It may be difficult to relate to my situation; no one can really know what it's like unless they've had my upbringing. Today, however, people know the real me, the person I was destined to become. Before prison, I worked as a welder, and started at a young age. I followed that career into machining. I'm college educated in different studies and am also an accomplished engineer now.
A major side effect of my incarceration is the fact that I was pushed into studying law. Initially I was trying to handle my case, understand what it all means and figure out what legal steps I could take to improve it. Shortly after, people started asking for my help with their cases and that drove me even deeper into study. Read my articles to find out where this journey has taken me, and come back for more.
