Sleepless in Seattle

Rory Koerber
To weep, is to risk appearing sentimental. To hope, is to risk despair. To reach for another, is to risk involvement. To try, is to risk exposing your true self. To place your ideas and dreams before the crowd, is to risk their loss. To love, is to risk not being loved in return. To live, is to risk dying. But risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, and is nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow but cannot learn, feel change, grow, love and live chained by their servitude. They are slaves who have forfeited their freedom. Only a person who risks is free... is that you?
By now you can tell I set myself apart from the normal way of trying to introduce who I am and what I am about. I am a single, down to earth person who is in search of a woman that is down to earth and open minded. I am not necessarily looking for a relationship, but more so a friendship at this point in time. I would like to find someone I can connect with intellectually and share my thoughts, exchange ideas, and sense that my thoughts and opinions are understood and appreciated. Even in oppositions as yours will be, neither person is selfish of just his or her needs is what I would like to find.
This is just a projection of my heart on paper for your viewing pleasure. Until I make that connection I'm sleepless in Seattle.
