Mike Correll

Hi! I'm Mike Correll and I've been on death row for what seems like forever, since I was 24, back in 1984. Wow, huh? Yea, it's been a long time. But today, after decades of fighting for my life and freedom, and almost 27 years in solitary confinement on death row, I'm finally off of death row. The courts resentenced me to life, so my fight for freedom continues on. Getting out of solitary confinement after so long will no doubt be an experience in and of itself. Ha ha...

Right now I'd just like to reach out for whatever it is you might have to offer. A bit of sunshine, a friendly word, a smile, a moment of laughter or perhaps a shoulder to lean against when life here has me feeling all worn out and tired deep inside. Yeah... you know the feeling I speak of. It's the one that comes with a real deep sigh and sad little smile and hope that tomorrow is a better day. We all have those days I guess.

Anyway, you should follow that feeling that caused you to hesitate and read this words. Send a letter my way even if it's the only one you ever choose to write, be the difference in this day in my life, between a good day and one that's not. I'm pretty easy going and love all animals, nature, music, I like to read, I exercise pretty much daily to stay strong in body and mind. (Okay, I'm really just bored and mostly do it for the sake of having something to do.) I love all kinds of movies, Harley's, and life in general.
