Want to Make a Difference?

Kimberly Carter
I like meeting new people and being around those who make me laugh. In my spare time I do crafts, write, read, hang out with friends, and work on the book I am writing about the women I have been incarcerated with.
Before prison I did promotional, office, and customer service work. Since prison, I received my certification as a pet care tech and have trained service dogs to assist people with disabilities.

I have studied law for nine years and I would like to complete a paralegal degree to work in a law firm until I can open up my own business. I have basic college and have worked and volunteered as a teacher's aide for college students.
My focus is reaching out to people who will help change felony murder. To tell a little about it, people serve decades long sentences under the charge of first degree murder yet have never taken a life or planned to.

To learn more, I wrote an essay called "The Theory from England" which can be here:
www.realcostofprisons.org/writing/The_Theory_From_England.pdf.
I hope there are many of you who read this and take an interest in felony-murder.
