A Flame within the Fire

Hello there! My name is Joshua and I am thirty-two years old. Since the time of my incarceration it truly feels like I have grown as a person in a three fold sense. I deal with things as they come...sometimes my reactions are spontaneous, sometimes they are not. Regardless of their outcome I try to remember that I am only human, and am no one’s Superman...well, at least not yet anyway! (Smile)

Fortunately I still have strong family ties. I have a soon to be seventeen year old son. He is my pride. He is a smart kid! (Smile) And it feels good to know that I do manage to get through to him.

I enjoy reading and exercising, and I will be the first to admit, I am very competitive when it comes to playing side-out beach volley ball...hustle, hustle, hustle! (Smile)

My taste in music ranges from smooth jazz and hard rock to Traditional Native American singing and drumming. I also enjoy doing beadwork.
As a pass time, two years ago I had started writing a short fictional story. I finished it a few months back. My gut tells me that if I were to pursue writing it would take me far. So we will see what happens later on down the line. (Smile)

In a few months I hope to continue my college education. I am a social science emphasis, but studying in this field is not what I had expected... I will try to finish it nonetheless. I am interested in meeting people from all walks of life, with the hopes of finding female friendship to accompany me along this road called life.
