   My name is Jose Luis Quintana. For purposes of clarity my main reason for placing this ad is to make the public aware of the grave injustice which was done to me and to inform you about my ongoing struggle for justice and to request your assistance to right this wrong.

    I am presently incarcerated in one of California’s prisons. On September 6, 1980 at 00:30 Hours, an ambush-style gang shooting occurred at the Rampart sector of the city of Los Angeles. Three members of the WS 18^th Street gang were killed and six of their gang associates were wounded. Although I had absolutely nothing to do with the shooting, I was subsequently arrested,   railroaded and wrongfully convicted in a mockery of a trial before a pro-prosecution judge.

    I have languished in a prison cell for 23 years and through the painful passage of these years I have strongly maintained my innocence and asserted that I was framed by several rogue cops, who utilize me as a mere pawn to further their careers within the Rampart-CRASH Police Department. (Currently the subject of one of the largest corruption investigations in the history of the LAPD.) However, my cries of innocence and efforts always fell on deaf ears because no one would lend credibility that these cops would stoop to perjuring themselves and fabricating evidence to frame innocent people.

    In a nutshell, I was framed by a notorious group of rogue cops, then railroaded by a district attorney only too happy to bury the truth in his zeal to convict another Latino youth. I need your help to reverse this wrongful conviction and regain my freedom.
