Seeking Someone of Like Mind

First and foremost, let me thank you for stopping by and allowing your eyes to set themselves on me. I hope that after viewing my brief intro you like what you’ve read, and take the initiative to connect.

My name is Junior. I’m a 24 year old who is born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I’m currently being held down by a life sentence over my shoulders. However, please don’t allow your mind to start building misconceptions as to what type of man I must be or what terrible crime I might of committed. Truth of the matter is, my loyalty and respect for the game (hood life) and the players involved ultimately brought me under. It’s evident to me now that not everyone believed in the principles of the game, for it become crystal clear when my closest friend manipulated the dynamics of the situation to escape his fate.

I now find myself in prison, innocent, and alone with my thoughts. On the other hand, the day I came to prison marked the beginning of a new direction for me, one that would not only lead me to an understanding of myself, but of life. Plain and simple, I made ignorant mistakes. However, like the wise individual I’ve learned from them. Nevertheless, my case is on appeal and because of the nature of my case an investigation is pending. Based on the above, I’m highly optimistic about my release.

In the meantime, while patiently waiting, I engage in productive activities such as studying the history of cultures, religions, and important events. Furthermore, I’m currently enrolled in a community college and actively pursuing and associates degree is sociology. I just embrace anything that contributes to my self growth, whether intellectual or spiritual. I’m sincerely doing what I must to better myself, to help others not follow in ignorant footsteps, and to make a difference. In spite of all the pain in my life, I nurture a pure heart filled with love and compassion.

What I seek in this ad is someone I can share thoughts, feelings, and ideals with. In essence, someone of like mind. Someone who can look past the typical stereotypes, whose thinking isn’t influenced by something outside of self, and who can open their eyes to the fact that something beautiful can grow from within these concrete walls… Someone mature, and who like me is loyal to self and others. To me loyalty means to be constant, to be consistent. To be loyal is to know who you are, to know where you’re going, and to follow through. If you’re that someone who can feel where I’m coming from and where I’m trying to go, please… be a friend and reach out for my lonesome hand, because sometimes the toughest of souls need companionship.
