Robert Kennedy on Martin Luther's King's death stated in a speech "One of my favorite poets is Aeschylus. He once wrote: 'Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, until, in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom through the awful grace of God.'"
Thanks for taking the time to read these few words. I am reaching out for new friendships. I was much younger at the time of my arrest, had little education and even less understanding of what it means to be a man. Through many mistakes and life trials, I am now on better footing than when I first started this journey but still consider myself a work in progress. I now have my High School diploma, small Gas Engine vocational class, on top of numerous self-help classes. Before my release, I plan on taking computer and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) classes and perhaps obtain a CDL license and travel for a while when released.
My two biggest regrets are that it took these years of my life spent behind razor-wired fences for me to realize that I have a family that loves and hurts along side me and that I took them and life for granted ("... in our own despair against our will comes wisdom through the awful grace of GOD.").
Through this grace I am not bitter bat grateful that I'm alive with a chance for a brighter future. I enjoy playing and watching sports and reading both fiction and non-fiction books. I am also learning Spanish.
