Glen Joy

Do you believe in second chances? I do.

Let me tell you about a dog (Theo, in photo) that quite literally has changed my life and given me that second chance. Theo is an assistance Dog in training. He’s a year old and on his way to be a rock star for someone who’s disabled. The program I’m in allows us to live with, care for and train a service animal.

Before I joined the program I was in a very dark place because of my addiction to drugs which landed me in prison, and having my son taken away from me. This program has given me the chance to be social, learn how to communicate with the other trainers and my training teammate. It’s taught me responsibility, love and care. But most important to me is, I’m a part of something greater than myself and I’m helping in a small way to help someone else.

I need good people in my corner who are uplifting, dedicated, caring and excelling in life.

Before coming to prison I was a business owner in Automotive Repair, Pest Control, and last but not least, Home Repair/Remodel. Yes, I’m kinda an over achiever. LOL I enjoy working just as much as I like dirt biking, tinkering around in the garage, or being out and about. I’m a driven, self-motivated and active individual. But don’t let that fool you, I also like to just chill at home and be a teddy bear.

The best way to communicate with me would be through but good ole fashioned snail mail is always cool; there’s nothing better than hearing your name at mail call.
I look forward to hearing from you.
