I grew up around gang activity in Los Angeles, California, and the only positive person around me was my mother, but she could only do so much as a single parent. The people I looked up to were into the street life, so I went that route. I lived the fast life, made fast money, lost some good friends to prison, and the graveyard, then by the time I realized it wasn't worth it I was headed for prison. I did things I'm not proud of, and I'm paying for the choices I've made.
I think everything happens for a reason... maybe I'm in this situation to meet someone positive in my life, someone I can learn from, someone that can help me change. Society tends to look down on people when they're in prison, like we can't change or something. I'm dedicated to change! I'm going to put this time to good use! Prison can be whatever you want it to be, so I'm going to learn from this experience and make the best of this situation by working on my mind, body and soul. Help me make this change!
