I entered prison in 1993 at age 23, and spent the last 24 years of my life at numerous California prisons (New Folsom, Tehachapi, CMC, Soledad). In September 2017, at age 47, my incarceration will end if I’m found suitable by the state parole board panel.
I’ve made the time in prison count. Disciplinary free for 23 years. Completed college degree in 2009, along with Auto Mechanic Vocation. Published over 50 short stories, essays and articles. Participated in over 50 “live from state prison” radio segments for CBS Radio syndicated morning show “The Adam Carolla Show” from 2006 to 2009 as character ‘Prisoner David’. I’ve spent thousands of hours in self-help programs.
I’ve been fortunate to have met hundreds of wonderful people over the decades through this website, which gave me hope, direction, and opportunity. Naturally, some people moved on as time has progressed, but I continue to rely on my support network, my friends, for motivation, guidance, and self-growth.
Release into society
I’ve never seen the Internet. Never held a smart phone, I-Pod, or tablet. I’ll be paroling to a Los Angeles area transitional house and my first task will be to land a job. I excel at writing stories, scripts, articles, as well as Internet content for targeted audience.
I’d love to make a friend in you, and establish a foundation that hopefully will endure after my release from prison.
